Obituary of Lesma A. Wallace
Lesma A. Wallace, age 89, passed away this Monday, May 10, 2021. She was born and raised in Trelawny, Jamaica, West Indies, and then moved to Kingston, Jamaica, when she was 14 years old. At age 44, Lesma moved to the United States and became a longtime resident of Plainfield, NJ, for 45 years.
She worked at many companies throughout her life, but last worked before her retirement at Design & Molding, Inc., in Piscataway, NJ.
Lesma was a devoted member of the Faith Fellowship Ministries World Outreach Center, now known as Epic Church International, located in Sayreville, NJ.
An absolute movie buff, Lesma’s favorite type of movie genres were Black and White movies and Westerns. She also loved to follow the lives of her favorite actors and actresses, and in her free time, Lesma greatly enjoyed reading her bible and doing her cross word puzzles.
She is survived by her children: Joan Anderson, Patricia Hunte and her husband, Edwin, Howard Duncker and his wife Carmen, her 3 grandchildren: Dean, Ayanna, and Amani; and her 3 great-grandchildren: Jade, Jianna, and Braden, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Viewing will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ. A Funeral Service will follow starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow afterwards at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ.
