To Kathy and Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear that Bob passed away. My deepest condolences go out to the entire Gray Family. Bob and I had such a great time working together for many years in the Elizabeth School system at both Cleveland and Aboff. I will always consider Bob as a good friend and the kind of educator who advocated for the children that he taught. Rest in Peace my friend and colleague.

Our hearts go out to Kathy, Jess, Matt, Josh, Lauren , Katie, Lucy, Marlee and Ryan. We understand your loss and the deep pain you must feel. Find peace and eventual joy in the knowledge of the full and wonderful life that Bob lived and the love that he held for all of you. We mostly knew Bob through Kathy, but from Kathy's words, we knew how dedicated Bob was to his family, to his friends and to all who were fortunate enough to come into his orbit. He truly had a life well lived. It was just cut off much too soon.
With Love,
Miriam & Ken Pogash

We are so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Our families moved from Union to Long Hill in 1995. We shared our lives together settling our kids into a new community. I will always remember the support and friendship we felt as we started our journey here,in Long Hill. My heart goes out to the Gray family ❤️

Bob was the king of the one liner, always succinct and more often than not hysterically funny. He once told me his secret: “Mike, timing is everything!”
Last week, while playing golf he was asked a pointed question by Ron: “Hey Bob, where do you come up this stuff?” Again, pure Bob: “I’m only as good as the material you give me! “.
Well, I must tell you Bob, over the past 25 years the one liners and the laughs never stopped. I thank you immensely for your friendship and the positive impact you have made in my life. I will miss you dearly.
Your friend, Mike

Bob,
I know you’re listening so I wanted to share a couple of things with you...
First, my heart goes out to Kathy, your children, and your grandchildren. May their memories of you be their comfort and may time be their friend....
Second, I will always cherish our time together over the decades we worked (and played) together at Tech and all the social outings (Arthur’s will never feel the same). You were the consummate “go to” guy for all things professionally and personally and your sense of humor was only second to mine :)
But, here’s my regret: for all those years on the golf course when you (desperately) tried to straighten out my lifelong slice, I never quite got it fixed. This winter when I was in Florida, you kept texting me to make sure I practiced.
I practiced what you taught me more than ever - always thinking about how proud you’d be when we played again that I finally got those drives straight.
I’ll always regret that I’ll never get to show you the fruits of your patience and labor - and nagging. But I know you’ll be watching from your vantage point way up high, and I promise you’ll be in my memory on every drive - and every straight shot will be for you.
I’ll miss you, Bob....
Larry
