Obituary of Shirley A. Mooney
Shirley A. (Gabrielsen) Mooney, age 85, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. Born and raised in Elizabeth, Shirley had been a longtime resident of Warren.
Prior to her retirement, Shirley had worked as a district manager for New Jersey Bell for many years.
In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed walking, shopping, and being with her dogs. She also loved reading and watching sports and the news on TV. Most of all she loved spending time with her family
She is predeceased by her parents, Stephanie and James Gabrielsen, her sister, Doris Gabrielsen Hoer, and her husband, Peter Mooney.
She is survived by her sister, Gloria Campeau and her loving family. She will be missed by all.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, Warren, NJ. The Interment will be held at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ.
