Obituary of Elizabeth Lawler
Elizabeth A, (Merrill) Lawler age 82, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA surrounded by family.
She was the daughter of the late Carmen A Merrill & Margaret G. Grausso born in Plainfield, NJ. She was raised in Plainfield, NJ and resided in Bethlehem, PA.
Elizabeth graduated from Plainfield High school. Prior to her retirement Elizabeth had worked for S&T appliances for many years in Plainfield, NJ. After retiring she moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to her grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a loving mother, sister, grandmother & great grandmother. She is survived by her granddaughter Nicole and husband Frankie, granddaughter Melissa and fiancé Chris, grandson Alan and wife Stacey, and granddaughter Elizabeth. Great grandchildren Kaylee, Adrianna, Jace, Jasmine, Jaxson, Aryanna, Marcella & Jaslyn. Sisters Peggy D’amore & Dolores Masucci. Son Edward and wife Sharon, Daughter Bonny and husband Alan.
She was preceded in death by her son Brian Lawler, Husband Thomas Lawler, Brother Louis Merrill & sister Claire Neal.
Elizabeth treasured spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren attending their sporting & school events every chance she could. She was always smiling, happy, and taking pictures everywhere she went. She loved Puzzles, Bingo, Elvis and going to Elvis impersonator Jim Barrone’s shows all over NJ. But most of all she loved her family, loved getting everyone together for family gatherings, and always looked forward to “Saturday night live” at her sister Claire’s house. She was one of a kind and will truly be missed by all.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday May 25, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Higgins home for funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Interment will follow afterwards at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ.
