Obituary of Steven Ohleth
Steven Ohleth was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend who left this world suddenly on June 7, 2021 in his home in Belleville, New Jersey. Born in Plainfield, NJ on May 21, 1979, Steven is survived by his daughter, Keira Ohleth, his mother, Patricia Ohleth, and his three sisters Kathleen Ohleth, Kara Nixon, and Kris Ohleth. Steven is predeceased by his father Karl Ohleth and his brother Thomas Ohleth.
Steven was a very loving father, and his daughter Keira was the light of his life. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold whose simple, bright smile lit up his eyes and the entire room. He loved the Jersey Shore, especially fishing and crabbing, and resided in Seaside Heights for a number of years. Steve worked in a variety of positions in commercial transportation, and was always willing to lend a hand
whenever we needed his strength. He was an avid New York sports fan and loved the Yankees, Giants, and Knicks.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12 from 9:00-11:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals in Watchung, NJ followed by a funeral mass at 12 noon at Saint Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 250 Bebout Ave, Stirling, NJ 07980.
