Obituary of Jean Louise Bernat
Jean Louise Bernat passed away peacefully on June 26, 2021, at the age of 90. Jean enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, baking, and most of all family.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Plainfield NJ. Jean will be remembered for her generous, kind heart. Born in North Plainfield, NJ on December 12, 1930, to William Peter and Lillian Kramer. Predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Edward Bernat.
Preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Irene Flanagan, Billy Kramer, Doris Palmer, Kenny Kramer, Gladys McRobbie, Artie Kramer, Shirley Glick, Ronnie Kramer, and Russell Kramer. Lovingly remembered by her daughters, Bonnie Bernat, Wendy Gupta(Mukesh), and Nancy Bernat. Grandchildren, Kara Miller(Jermey)Alexander Gupta(Jill), and Caitlin Cabrera(Elliott). Great Grandchildren, Chloe Miller, Nathan Miller, and Benjamin Miller, and many nieces and nephews.
We’re sorry to say goodbye but know that she would enjoy a beautiful ceremony to celebrate her life.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069 followed by an 11:30 am funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Springdale Methodist Cemetery in Warren, NJ.
