Obituary of Geneva J. Diehl

Geneva J. Diehl, née Neill, age 85, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, she met her late husband, Frederick Diehl while he was serving at an Air Force base in Texas. They moved to NJ in the 1950s and she was a resident of Warren, NJ for more than 60 years.

Geneva loved working with children and was a Teacher’s Assistant for more than 40 years at The Center School, located previously in Highland Park, NJ.

She was a former member of Wilson Memorial Church in Watchung, NJ.

A loving mother and grandmother, Geneva’s life was always centered around her family and the mention of her family always brought her great pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Frederick Diehl, and her late brother, Dennis Niell.

She is survived by her two sons: Glen Diehl, and his wife Ellen, and Gary Diehl, and his wife Matty; her 6 beloved grandchildren: Caroline, Matthew, Leighann, Michael , Emily, and Mark; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Cremation services will be private.
