Obituary of Wladyslaw Bartman

Wladyslaw Bartman, age 92, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.  Mr. Bartman was born and raised in Brzozów, Poland, immigrated to Plainfield, NJ in the early 1960’s and most recently resided in Manville, NJ.

Mr. Bartman was a machinist at GJ Schmidt Company in Green Brook for many years.  He was good, hard worker who was always determined to complete the job and have it done right.

He was a communicant of St. Bernard of Clairvaux and St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Plainfield, NJ for many years.

A great joy in Mr. Bartman’s life was spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Bartman is predeceased by his son Jerzy Bartman in 1955.

He is survived by his loving wife Elza Bartman; their daughter Maria Kowalik and her husband Ed, grandchildren, Eddie and Michael; his daughter Christine Ororke and her husband Donald, granddaughter Melissa Dobler and her husband David, and great-grandchild Chase.  He is also survived by his children Linda Maiorana, Andrzej Bartman and Zbigniew Bartman.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 15. 2021 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 10:30 am at St. Bernard of Clairvaux and St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Plainfield, NJ.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
