Obituary of Rui A Trindade

Brick: Rui A. Trindade, age 88, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Portugal, he lived in Belleville before moving to Brick where he has resided for the past 13 years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Trindade worked as a Cost Accountant. He attended St. Dominic Church in Brick. Mr. Trindade was passionate about soccer and loved collecting stamps. He was also a short wave radio enthusiast. Surviving are his wife, Joaquina; his children, Antonio Trindade and his wife, Nicole, Maria Trindade, Cristina Piccininni and her husband, Steve; his brother, Helder; his sister, Maria Fernanda Andrade; and his four grandchildren; Marisa, Stephen, Nicolas and Ryan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will begin on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 Mass of Resurrection at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church, Watchung. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung.
