Obituary of Phoebe Jane "Osnato" Sharkey
Phoebe J. “Osnato” Sharkey, age 81, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021. She was born in Plainfield, NJ and raised in Scotch Plains, NJ. She has been a longtime resident of Warren since 1961.
Phoebe was an Office Manager at ReMax in South Plainfield, NJ.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Warren Fire company.
She relished working in her garden for countless hours, was an excellent cook, and loved her many beloved pets.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Jenny Lea Osnato, and her son, Jimmy T. Osnato, III.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Sharkey; her brother, Walter Burgess and his wife, Gail of Yardley, PA; her two grandchildren: James T. and Brent Osnato; her sister-in-law, Janice Bird; her nephew, Bill Bird; and her two nieces: Amy Lustig and Erin Rasnake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to the Somerset County Animal Shelter, 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater Township, NJ 08807.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A service will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 11 a.m. Cremation will be private.
