Obituary of Julia Wohlman
Julia Wohlman, née Parillo, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, she was also a former resident of Scotch Plains. Julia has been a resident of Watchung for the past 40 years.
Julia received her associate degree from Union County College in 1986 and her bachelor’s degree at Kean University. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA at both schools and specialized her studies in business. At Union County College, Julia was president of the part-time student government and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She was also the recipient of the Post Day Award and established the Care Center at UCC for non-traditional students.
She worked as a Media Specialist for the Mountainside Board of Education.
Julia was a very kind, generous, and social person who enjoyed taking the lead and organizing trips and events for her many, many friends. She loved to dance, attend the theater, reading and learning. She adored her family, enjoyed teaching, and especially loved the company of children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, the late Herbert Wohlman in 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Irene Wohlman, and her son, David Wohlman, as well as her brother, Stephen Parillo.

A private family visitation will be held at the funeral home. A public Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 12:30 pm at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 189 Gill Lane, Iselin, NJ.
