One of my earliest memories of Aunt Mickey was spending a week in East Hampton when I was a little girl and walking to the beach every day. When I was a teenager I used to sleep over in Merrick so I could babysit while Aunt Mickey and Uncle George went out for the night. A few years ago she came to West Virginia and we went with her to a milk glass convention. She thought we would be bored but we actually had a blast, hanging around in the hotel and going to the convention. When Aunt Mickey decided to sell her house and move in with patttie she let us come and take any milk glass that we wanted. I have lots of milk glass displayed in my china cabinet, on my fireplace mantel and even in my bathroom, This year was particularly hard for me since I have been fighting cancer. Aunt Mickey sent me a picture of St.Peregrine and a prayer. My Tom made a copy of his picture and the prayer and he attached it to a glass tapered candle and it sits on my night stand next to my bed. Whenever I look at my milk glass or at the candle next to my bed, I will think of Aunt Mickey and how much I will miss her. Right now I'd like to think she's in heaven visiting with Uncle George, cousin George, Zach and my Dad. Love always your niece Debbie.
