Dear Diana,
I was so sorry to hear of Butch's untimely passing. Your tribute to Butch is heartfelt, passionate, and touching.
My Dad, a physician, delivered Butch. Your Aunt May always said that my Dad is responsible for the name "Butch"--apparently, when Daddy informed May that she had a little boy, he referred to him as "Butch"--May said from that day forward, little Billy was known as "Butch."
I would have known May 75 years this year if she were still alive--I knew her as neighbor in North Plainfield, as co-worker at Muhlenberg Hospital (about which she was extremely passionate) and, most importantly, as FRIEND. Unfortunately, I only knew Butch through May--I regret never having met him--through May I learned that he was a very sweet, gentle, sensitive soul who was an ever present joy to May and his Uncle Howard. Although I moved from NJ, May and I continued our friendship. Butch is the one who sadly informed me of his beloved Mom's death. Thereafter, Butch and I kept in touch through exchange of Christmas cards. I will miss hearing from him this year but he, as well as his Mom, will be remembered in my prayers.
Rest in peace, dear Butch, and may your memory be a blessing and a comfort to your family and friends. And God bless you, Diana.

Rest in Peace Butch...I am sure your mom and Howard welcomed you with open arms. I didn't know you all that well, but what I did know of you is you were a very kind, soft spoken person. I am glad that our families were connected in someway and I was able to help in the end. I hope you never felt alone, because we all cared...
