Obituary of Michael Joseph Moran

Michael Joseph Moran, age 70. He was born June 13, 1943 and died June 11, 2014. Formerly of Jersey City, NJ he was a retired Long Shoreman, Local 1730. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Katherine (Sparrow) Moran; his brothers, Paul, John and William Moran and his sister, Elizabeth Shindle. Mike passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.. Survived by his sister, Evelyn Spina; brother Thomas Moran and his two loving daughters, which were the twinkle of his eyes, Tara (Gregg) Pulsinelli and Tracie Moran; best friend and confident, son-in-law, Gregg Pulsinelli; pride and joys, Grandsons, Gregg Pulsinelli, Anthony Pulsinelli and Joey Rivers; his loving Companion, Julie Giordano. The mother of his children, Sharon DeMato and husband-in-law, Joseph DeMato and his granddoggies, Skyler and Remmington. Mike shared many good times with his immediate family, friends and surrogate family. He touched their hearts and homes with his presence and his "tools". Respecting his wishes to gratefully thank all of his loving family, the following are being acknowledged: his brother and sisters in-law, Timmy, Pete, Jimmy, Nancy, Dawn, Donna and Patti; nieces and nephews, Karen, Kathy, Donna, Tommy, Judy, Jimmy, Darren, Paul, Allen, Thea, Billy, Carol, Barbara, Kelly Jo, Michelle, Celeste, TJ and Kristie; the Giordano family, Louie, Mary, Lisa, Brenda, Tony, Donna, Melissa, John, Mason, Ella, Tayler, Katie, Nicholas and Gina. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, June 14th at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church. Interment will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
