Obituary of Ruth Ann Curtis

Ruth Ann Curtis, age 84, passed away on Wednesday November 3, 2021, at her home in Toms River, NJ. Born in Summit, Ruth was raised in Berkeley Heights and resided in Piscataway most of her life before moving to Toms River in 1995.

Prior to her retirement Ruth Ann had worked at Chanel Inc in Piscataway for over 20 years, beginning in the manufacturing plant and later in the quality assurance department.

Ruth Ann was happily married to the love of her life, Raymond Curtis, for 66, who passed away on May 16, 2021. They met on a blind date and got married when she graduated high school. They loved to travel and would vacation at least twice a year, traveling all over the country.

Ruth Ann is predeceased by her loving husband Raymond, her daughter Bonnie Sue in 1994, a sister Barbara Hudson in 2008, her granddaughters Carrie in 2018 and Stormy 2009, and grandson Justin 1990.

She is survived by her children Hope (Louis) Luca, Fred Curtis, Frank (Barbara) Curtis, Cindy (Richard) Hayes, and Bob (Susan) Curtis, eight grandchildren Tommy and Raymond Luca, Michelle Reiser, Amber Weaver, Cory Curtis, Crystal Hensal, Connie Miner, and Charlene Moulton: 13 great-grandchildren and her caretaker Charity Quarshire.

A visitation to honor both the lives of Ruth Ann and Raymond will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ, followed by a 12 p.m. funeral service at the funeral home. Interment will follow immediately at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
