Obituary of Gerardo Perrotti
Gerardo Perrotti, age 86, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Mr. Perrotti was born and raised in Vallata, Italy, immigrated to Elizabeth, NJ at the age of 19, and had resided in Warren, NJ since 1975.
After arriving in Elizabeth, NJ, Mr. Perrotti worked hard at A&M Karagheusian in Roselle Park, NJ, and attended night school to learn English. Mr. Perrotti had an entrepreneurial spirit and went on to open Perrotti Brothers Exxon, in Roselle, NJ with his brother, John.
Mr. Perrotti was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren, NJ.
His greatest joy was being with his family, especially around the holidays. He loved his country that gave him the opportunity to live the American dream.
He is predeceased by his parents, Vito Rocco Perrotti and Michelina Perrotti; his siblings, Luigia Steriti, Gaetano Perrotti, John Perrotti and David Perrotti.
Mr. Perrotti is survived by his loving wife Marie (Della Serra) Perrotti; his son Gerardo Perrotti; his siblings, Lydia Rizza, Adam Perrotti, Mario Perrotti and Sara Honeymar.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Mount Church, 170 Mt Bethel Rd., Warren, NJ 07059. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
Memorial Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
