Obituary of Adorth Hill, Jr.
Adorth Hill, Jr., age 73, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. Born in South Hill, VA, Adorth graduated from Waynesville High School at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri and resided in Plainfield for the past 52 years.
Prior to his retirement, Adorth worked at Milo West and DuraTape in Linden. Over the past several years Adorth had become very involved with Sage Eldercare in Summit. Twice a week he would take the Union County Paratransit to the care center. It brought him a newfound joy to participate and interact with everyone there. He enjoyed listening to music, bowling, and minigolf.
His parents Adorth Hill, Sr., and Sophia Cannon Hill predeceased him in death.
Adorth is survived by his three sisters Sylvia, Amona and Aurora. He is also survived by a niece Lisa, three nephews Chad, Zachary, Matthew, and many family members.
A visitation will be held on Friday January 7th, 2022, from 11am to 1pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd.,Watchung, NJ followed by a funeral service at 1pm at the funeral home. The interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
