Obituary of Joseph J. Siekerski

Joseph J. Siekerski, affectionately known as “Boogy”, age 78, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Born in Hillside, Joseph had spent most of his life in Edison.

Prior to his retirement, Joseph had worked for the Edison Department of Public Works for over 24 years.

Joseph is predeceased by his parents Sylvester Siekierski and Julia (Regula) Siekerski, siblings Sylvia Marsnick, Julius Siekierski, Dolores Rogowski, Frank Siekierski, and Mary Schepige.

He is survived by his siblings Zenon Siekirski, Roberta “Pat” Colder, and Julia Ann Sickerski. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069, followed by a graveside service at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
