She was especially proud of her grandson Christopher who is a seminarian at Mount St. Mary’s.

She enjoyed traveling, trips to the shore, and going out to dinner, but most of all she enjoyed spending time talking and laughing with her family and friends. She adored her family near and far and looked forward to her frequent visits.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved brothers Stephen and Philip McCarthy as well as her son-in-law, Michael Tillotson. She is survived by her husband Thomas Plocinik to whom she was married 57 years and daughters Diane Tillotson of Bloomfield, CT, and Julie Moore and her husband James of Alexandria, VA, and her five grandchildren, Erica and Christopher Tillotson and Camilla, Phoebe and Finn Moore.
