I am saddened to inform you that D. Nadeanne Kleinman, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 2:12 pm at Overlook Medical Center.
Nadeanne was the brightest, sexiest, kindest, toughest, most hard-working, occasionally scary, strong-willed person that I have had the great joy to have known and to have loved. Nadeanne was a wonderful wife, a magnificent mother, a generous Bubby, an appreciated college professor, a beloved clinician (whose rumored retirement brought tears to the eyes of several clients), an outstanding athlete (who typically finished ten minutes ahead of me in 5k races), a valued friend, and a mentor. However, she was not without idiosyncrasies – for some reason she did not find my jokes funny; a position oddly enough shared by most sentient beings. Even so, she was the love of my life, the light of my day, and the joy of my existence. She made my life rich, rewarding, and full of wondrous experiences. Losing Nadeanne has created a crater in my heart a thousand miles wide and ten thousand miles deep.
People may aspire to achieve what she accomplished, but it would be an impossible undertaking. She left a myriad of accomplishments, good deeds, joy, and happiness in this world.
As is oft stated: she was often imitated, but never duplicated. In sum, she was a most wondrous, unique person who to the very end of her life was concerned for the feeling of her friends, clients, and loved ones. I feel lucky and privileged to have been in her life for forty short years. I regret only that I will not have the opportunity to spend another forty years with Nadeanne.
Goodbye, Nadeanne. I will miss you in this world and will meet you again in the next world – your husband, Joel.
Nadeanne leaves behind her husband, Joel, her children, Nora, Tim, and Debbie, her granddaughters, Jennifer, Taylor, and Olivia, her sisters, Rhonda and Libby, her nieces and nephews, her friends, professional peers, and countless clients whose lives she greatly enriched. She will be deeply missed by all.
Receiving family and friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Higgins Home for Funerals in Watchung, New Jersey with services to follow at 3:00 pm.
