Obituary of Gail McGuire
Gail McGuire, age 66, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Jersey City Medical Center. Born in Jersey City to the late Dennis and Margaret (Rowand) McGuire, Gail was a life-long resident of Jersey City.
Gail was an active participant at Catholic Charities, prior to the pandemic she would go every day to her program. She also enjoyed shopping, taking walks, watching movies, and sharing interests with her companion, Robert, as well as her family.
She is predeceased by her sister, Debbie, and brother-in-law, Robert Conroy.
Surviving are her siblings: Margaret “Peg” Zukowski and her husband Robert, Dennis McGuire, Mary Conroy, and Sheila Hartigan; six nieces and nephews: Eric Zukowski, Sean Zukowski, Caitlin Espey, Michael Conroy, Ryan Hartigan, and Shannon Hartigan. She is also survived by seven great-nieces and great-nephews: Bridget, Evelyn, Robert, John, Teddy, Jack, and Declan.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ, followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
