Obituary of Linda Frances Seijas

Linda Seijas, age 81, passed away at her home in Annapolis MD. Born in Berkeley Heights, Linda had resided in Westfield and Forked River before moving to Annapolis 7 years ago. Linda had earned an associates degree in business from the Ocean County Community College in Toms River NJ. 

 

During her life Linda had several careers that she was very proud of, she worked at Prudential insurance company and was also an advertising account executive. With jewelry being one of her passions, she remained active in the jewelry industry wherever she lived and earned the designation of “Diamond Certified” from the Diamond Council of America while working for Zales in Toms River, NJ. Linda retired in 2016 as a Certified Nurses Aide having worked in the Barnabas Health Care System, Lakewood New Jersey.

 

Linda was very dedicated to her religion, she was a former parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Westfield, St. Pius RC Church in Forked River, St. Mary's of the Lake RC Church in Lakewood where she was a lector and Eucharistic Minister. Recently she had been a communicant of St. Mary's RC Church in Annapolis MD and was an active member of their rosary group.

 

Linda also enjoyed crafting and would make many of the holiday decorations that hung in her house and brightened the hallways of her residence. Linda was an avid baker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

 

She is survived by her three sons Philip Schirmer and his wife Ileana, Capt. Paul Schirmer, USN (Ret) and his wife Kathleen and Patrick Lanza and his wife Jacqueline. She is also survived by four grandchildren Nina, Kenny, Cameryn and Hunter.

 

A visitation will be held on Sunday March 20, 2022 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Stony Hill RC Church in Watchung at 10 on Monday followed by the interment at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery.
