Obituary of Chee K. Chan
Chee K. Chan, also known as “CK Chan”, age 90, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was born and raised in Hong Kong to Henry and Mary (Suk-ching) Chan. Chee was also a former resident of Berkeley Heights, NJ, and New Providence, NJ. For the past twenty years, CK resided in Bedminster, NJ. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He graduated from Seton Hall University with a Ph.D. in Chemistry.
For many years, CK was employed as a chemist at Oakite Products Inc.
In his youth, Chee greatly enjoyed spending his summers at Ortley Beach, NJ, as well as playing tennis and the piano.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen, and his sister, Anna.
He is survived by his sister, Fanny Chan, and his niece, Alicia Leung, Alicia’s husband, Paul, and their children, Gavin and Anna.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Shrine of St. Joseph, 1050 Long Hill Road, Stirling, NJ. A funeral mass will follow at the Shrine and begin at 2:00 p.m. Cremation services will be held privately. He will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ.
