Obituary of Edna Steinfeld

Edna Steinfeld, age 81, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2014 at the Chelsea in Warren. Born in the Bronx, she resided in Bergenfield for most of her life, had lived in Manchester for 18 years and for the past year has lived in Warren. Edna was employed for many years as a secretary for an engineering company in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. She was a past member of The Bergenfield Dumont Jewish Community Center in Bergenfield where she very active in their sisterhood. Mrs. Steinfeld enjoyed dancing, singing, musical theater and classic old movies. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and she was known for her wonderful sense of humor. She is predeceased by her beloved sister, Sandra Schwab 25 years ago. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Harold Steinfeld; her son, Steven Steinfeld of East Rutherford; her daughter, Karen Gordon of Basking Ridge and her two granddaughters, Karly and Stefanie Gordon. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by the interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
