Obituary of Adeline Mastria
Adeline “Lee” Mastria, 89, peacefully passed and joined her husband Louis in Heaven on Sunday, May 8, 2022, in New Jersey. Lee is survived by her children and their spouses: Ann and Nic Neumann, Elaine and Mark Mazur, and Frank and Shari Mastria. She was especially grateful to fully share in the lives of her precious grandchildren, Stephen and Jennifer Mazur, Eric Mastria, Michele Mastria, Christopher and Kellie Mazur, John Neumann, and great-grandson, Alan Mazur. In addition, her family includes many cherished nieces and nephews and their families.
Lee was born in Jersey City, NJ, and was employed by Western Electric in Kearney, which is where she met her husband, Lou. They married in 1953 and lived in Jersey City, Lyndhurst, and Bridgewater, NJ. Lee lost the true love of her life in 1986. She then turned her attention to caring for her grandchildren and traveling near and far with friends and relatives. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Bridgewater and Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville where she participated in the Circle of Friends and volunteered for Catholic Charities.
Lee left her Jersey roots to spend time in Naples, FL to enjoy the warmer weather and to be closer to her youngest grandson, John. She enjoyed water aerobics, playing mahjong, and other activities at the Island Walk Community Center. She was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church where she served as a Greeter and was a member of the Ladies of St. Agnes. Lee was a talented cook and baker who enjoyed planning and hosting many family-centered events. She was a warm, caring woman who was most comfortable helping others. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Arcangela Aloi; her brother Ralph Aloi; and her sisters; Mary (Louis) Conca, Dolly (Joseph) Micelli, Florence (Carmine) Calandriello, and Margaret (Sam) Conca. She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary.
