Obituary of Jane E. Barone
Jane Elizabeth Barone, age 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at her home in North Plainfield, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Edison, Jane had grown up in Plainfield and had resided in North Plainfield for the past 42 years. Jane had earned a degree in business from the Nancy Taylor School for Business.
Jane has worked as a compliance officer for Bausch + Lomb in Bridgewater for 20 years.
She loved traveling and taking trips to Atlantic City, where she enjoyed playing the slot machines. Jane also spent time tending to her garden at home. She was a wonderful cook and loved preparing family meals and holiday dinners. Jane was very fond of animals, especially her cats. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother, and she greatly loved the time she spent at home with her family.
Jane is predeceased by her loving husband Thomas Anthony Barone, in 2015, and her brother Harris Phillips in 2008.
She is survived by her four children, Amy Barone, Christine Barone, Thomas "Tommy" Barone and his wife Yuliana, and Tracy Barone; six grandchildren, Hiram, Anthony, Ryan, Brooke, Chloe, and Charlotte; two nieces Linda and Janice; a nephew David. She is also survived by her best friend for over 72 years Diana Anderson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A service will follow at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
