Obituary of Joseph A. Adest
Joseph Aloysious Adest, 89, formally of Warren Township, passed away on May 21st, 2022, at the Lopatcong Care Center. He was born and raised in Jersey City and attended schools there.
Joe is a veteran of the United States Army.
He worked for and retired from Western Electric Company in Kearny, New Jersey.
Joe moved to Warren Township in 1990, where he was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church and a longtime member of a faith-sharing group. He was also involved with the hospital visiting ministry at Runnells Specialized Hospital for many years. He greatly enjoyed his vacations at Spring Lake, NJ, and the Warren Casino Trips.
Joe was also an avid Yankee fan and a Giants fan, and he loved to tell jokes whenever the opportunity came up.
Joe is survived by his friend of 42 years, Kathy Dalton of Basking Ridge, and was preceded in death by his dear friend, Lois Dalton of Warren Township on August 22, 2016.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 9:15 a.m., at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, Warren, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge, NJ.
