Obituary of Albert J. LoBiondo
Albert J. LoBiondo, age 82, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Somerville, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, to John and Josephine LoBiondo, Albert resided in Irvington in his youth. He was a longtime resident of Maplewood, NJ before moving to the Bridgewater area 18 years ago.
His father founded John LoBiondo and Sons, a butcher shop and restaurant on Ferry Street in Newark, where Albert worked from his youth until his retirement in the 1980s.
Albert was an avid gardener, hunter, fisherman, and an excellent chef. He took great pleasure in cooking large meals for his family, as well as any friends that happened to stop by his home.
Albert is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Beatrice; and his three children: Albert LoBiondo (Svetlana Papashina), Joy Lynn Butch (Darrell), and Patricia Manna (Glen). He will also be greatly missed by his five adoring grandchildren: Nicholas, Kathleen, Amanda, Allison, and Gavin, and deeply missed by Alisa and Gene Papashina.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his two brothers, Joseph and John LoBiondo.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A service will follow starting at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation services will be held privately.
