No words can explain the heart break in hearing of Barbara’s passing. I had the privilege of growing up with the Gianettio family and spending endless hours with them. I loved “Mr and Mrs G” so very much and their daughter Vicki I couldnt have survived my youth with out her. The Gianettino family left a huge mark on my heart I am continually grateful for and humbled by. Barbara was like second mother to me in my adolesence. One of my favorite memories of her was making her laugh on our car rides into the City, the more she laughed the more we laughed and the more I wanted to so desperately make Barb laugh again and again. I still get very nostalgic every time I hear Billy Joel. Barbara touched my heart very deeply as a child. She had a way of seeing things in me I didn’t see. She did more for me than I can possibly ever explain. I will cherish the memories of her forever. I pray for the whole family during this incredibly difficult time. I pray for the graces of the holy spirit to guide and support the Gianettio family with strength and love and I pray that Barbara’s spirit continues to shine and radiate through many aspects of the lives of those she has left behind just like she had shined in all those years I knew her.
