Obituary of Carol B. Hood
Carol Bishop Hood, age 86, passed away on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022 at Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital in NJ. She was born in Harrisonburg, VA, to Robert and Mary Taylor. Carol’s family moved to New Jersey where she grew up in Summit. Afterward, from 1973 to 1989, Carol resided in Warren, NJ, and from 1990, was a longtime resident of Morris County.
Nothing brought Carol more joy than get-togethers with her dear family and friends. She also greatly enjoyed watching and shopping the QVC network, crossword puzzles, bowling, and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Malcolm Jordon Hood, Sr., who passed away in 1987.
Carol is survived by her three sons: Malcolm J. Hood, Jr., and his wife, Janetlynne Mades Hood, Clifford Scott Hood, and Bradley Rogers Hood; her grandson, Brendan Sinclair Hood and his wife Danielle Hood; and her two great-grandchildren: Cameron Bryce Hood and Jackson Sinclair Hood. She is also survived by her two sisters, Linda Bishop and Susan Bishop and her brother-in-law Alfred Sinclair Hood.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 8th, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Burial will follow immediately at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield New Jersey.
Memorial donations may be made in her loving memory to the American Heart Association.
