Obituary of Carol Ann Faber
Carol Ann Faber, age 83, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. Born and raised in Plainfield, Carol had resided in Green Brook for 60 years.
Carol began her career at Seal Spout Corporation in Basking Ridge as a bookkeeper. It was while working here that she met the love of her life George Faber. Later, Carol went on to work for Aero Filter, and then, prior to her retirement she worked at the Giving Nest Preschool in Watchung.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Stony Hill RC Church in Watchung. Carol was an excellent bridge and tennis player. She enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City, vacations to Disney World, and a yearly trip to LBI. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family, hosting family holidays and parties. She especially loved making breakfast for her grandchildren when they came to visit. She will be missed by all those who had the honor of loving her.
She is predeceased by her son-in-law Kenneth Herrmann, her siblings Marie, Frank, Virginia, Eleanor, Joey, and Patricia.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, George Faber, three daughters, Jennifer Herrmann, Janet Faber, and Judy Brown, and her ex-husband Shawn; she is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Patricia, John, and Abby Herrmann, and Anna and Patrick Brown; her brother James Daley and his wife, Lynn. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many other loving friends and extended family.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 3 to 7 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at St. Mary’s Stony Hill RC Church at 10 am. Cremation services are private.
