Obituary of Jennifer Lee Lackland
Jennifer Lee Lackland, age 53, of Bernardsville NJ died Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Morristown Medical Center from complications after sudden cardiac arrest. She died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Jennifer lived in Watchung, NJ until attending college at the University of Rhode Island where she graduated in 1992 with a BS Degree in Humane Science and Services. She spent many years working as a teacher in different capacities, but her passion was for the wilderness, outdoors, and antiques.
In 2011, Jennifer took over running her father’s businesses after he could no longer do so. In April 2019, Jennifer fulfilled her lifelong dream of building Jens Links at LBI, a miniature golf course in Barnegat Light, NJ. Jen’s Links at LBI is a testimonial to the history of the area in addition to a beautiful and fun place for family and friends to gather.
Besides leaving behind the legacy of Jens Links at LBI, Jennifer has also been instrumental in the David & Carol Lackland Family Foundation in support of numerous charitable endeavors that benefit causes near and dear to her and her family.
Jennifer is survived by her brother David J. Lackland, his wife Tessa, and their son, Indy; her domestic partner, Thomas; and in addition, her cousins and many friends she considered family.
Cremation services are being held privately and there are no funeral services currently scheduled at the moment.
