Obituary of Teresa L. Garabo

Teresa (Cosentino) Garabo, age 87, died peacefully on Saturday July 26, 2014 at her home in Warren surrounded by her loving family. Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia Mrs. Garabo grew up in Baltimore and had resided in West New York and South Plainfield before moving to Warren in 1987. Mrs. Garabo was a former member of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren where she was a member of their Rosary Society. She is a current communicant of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church Martinsville. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and shopping. Mrs. Garabo was a talented piano player and singer. She inspired her children and grandchildren to also pursue their love of music. She loved taking trips to her cottage in Cape Cod but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Garabo had an extraordinary gift of making every occasion extra special for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband Dr. Charles Garabo; two sons Dr. James Garabo (Gail) and their children Carly, Gianna, Grace, Julia and Sophia; Dr. Paul Garabo (Kim) and their children Charlie, Christian and Lucas; a daughter Gabriella (Kelly); a sister Josephine Stuehler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 29, 2014 from 6-9 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Martinsville. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery in Watchung.
