Obituary of Vincent F. Losavio

Vincent F. Losavio, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2022, at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Plainfield, Vincent had grown up in Scotch Plains and has resided in Warren since 1972. Vincent received his bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College in Easton, PA in 1978 and later went on to earn his law degree in 1980 from Seton Hall Law School in Newark.

After passing the bar, Vincent went to work at the Kraft and Hughes Law Firm located in Manhattan. When Vincent’s parents became ill and required personal assistance, he left the firm to become their primary care giver. While providing their care, Vincent was able to successfully trade stocks from home.

Vincent was an avid reader and huge sports fan. Most of all, Vincent was a devoted family man, mentor and go-to point person for his entire family and all who sought his advice, assistance, and counsel. He especially loved spending time with his five nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Vincent is predeceased by his father Frank J. Losavio Sr. in 2020.

He is survived by his mother Norma (Soriano) Losavio, two brothers Frank Losavio and his spouse Audrey, and Joseph Losavio and his spouse Nicholas Terpstra; his sister Maria Widgodsky and her husband Jeffrey. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews Jenna, Regan and Hannah Losavio and Ryan and Spencer Widgodsky.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday August 13, 2022, at the Our Lady of the Mount Chapel 167 Mt. Bethel Rd. Warren NJ 07059 at 11am.
