Obituary of Timothy J. Wagner

Timothy J. Wagner, age 67, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at his home in Monmouth Beach, NJ.  He was born and raised in Oceanside, NY, he had resided in Bayonne, NJ, and Watchung, NJ before moving to Monmouth Beach, NJ five years ago. He also had a dual residence in Miami for over 20 years.

He graduated from Oceanside Highschool in 1973 and went on to further his education at the New York Institute of Technology earning his Bachelor of Science degree. Timothy was also an athlete and while attending the New York Institute of Technology he was a member of the NYIT Bears Football and Baseball teams.

Timothy was the President and CFO of Global Indemnity Insurance Company in Metuchen, NJ, and was on the advisory board of Investors Bank. 

He was a former member of St. Mary’s Stony Hill Church and was instrumental in starting the funding for the Parish Center.  

Timothy was an avid sports fan, who was a season ticket holder for both the NY Jets and NY Giants.  He was also a fan of the NY Mets.  He had a soft spot in his heart for animals and was a steady donor to the ASPCA in Monmouth County.  Timothy enjoyed traveling, grilling, and dining with friends and family, but most of all he loved spending time with his two daughters.

Timothy is predeceased by his wife, Lisa M. Wagner, in 2013.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cydney Wagner and Taylor Wagner, his sister Barbara Wagner, his loving partner Brenda Horowitz, and many nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Stony Hill Church, 225 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069.  A private entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Stony Hill Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
