Obituary of Joseph Anthony Vetrano
Joseph Anthony Vetrano, age 63, passed away suddenly on Wednesday October 12, 2022, at his home in Middlesex. Joe was born in Plainfield and has been a lifelong resident of Middlesex.
Early in his career, Joe worked as a car salesman for various dealerships in the area. He later went on to start his own towing business, Anthony’s Flat Bed Services, located in Middlesex. He would operate this company until his retirement several years ago.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church in Middlesex. Joe was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed going hunting with his son and taking fishing trips with his family and friends. Joe was also a motorcycle and Corvette enthusiast. His greatest joy was being a grandfather. Joe was filled with pride four months ago when his first grandchild was born and given his name.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Teresa (D’Ovidio) Vetrano, a son Anthony Vetrano and his wife Dominique, a grandson Joseph, and his sister Maryann Confroy and her husband Vincent. He is also survived by a host of extended family and loving friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 5 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069. A funeral mass will be on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Virgin in Middlesex. The burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover
