Obituary of Rocco Macchiaverna

Rocco Macchiaverna, 72, passed away at home in Mystic Island, NJ on November 1, 2022, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Evelyn “Lyn” Macchiaverna (née Donovan); his daughter, Elizabeth Gostkowski, her husband, Edward, and their children, Sean, Michelle, and Kaitlyn; and his son Paul, his wife Britney, and their children Stephanie, Caden, and Rocco.

He is also survived by his sisters, Louise Walencik and Florence Lukas.

He had a life-long interest in martial arts and scuba diving. He was best known for his love of fishing and loved taking his grandkids fishing and for cruises through the lagoons. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fiorenzo (John) and Florence Macchiaverna, and his sister, Josephine Treat.  

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A memorial service will follow commencing at 3:30 p.m. Cremation services were held privately.
