Obituary of Dennis Paul Kardos
Dennis Paul Kardos, 75, beloved husband of Nancy, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2022. Dennis was born and raised in Taylor, PA before residing in Warren Township for the last 50 years.
He proudly served in the United States Army and later received his bachelor’s degree from Bloomfield College.
Dennis was employed by Reheis Chemical Company in Berkeley Heights, NJ as an accountant for many years. He was also the proud owner of Village Pet Center in New Providence, NJ for 25 years prior to his retirement.
During his retirement, Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family at his summer home in Bayville, NJ. Much of his time there was spent gardening, biking, walking the boards, and being a kid playing the Arcades. He also enjoyed collectibles and selling on eBay. Dennis was a devout Catholic and rarely missed attending daily mass.
Dennis will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy; his children Stacey Barat and her husband Stephen, Dennis Kardos and his wife Rachel, Kimberley Unhoch and her husband Robert, Timothy Kardos and his wife Kimberly, and Craig Kardos and his wife Melissa; his nine grandchildren; Brady, Riley, Ellie, Madeline, Chloe, Timmy, Emily, Cate, and Lauren. Dennis is also survived by his brother John Kardos and partner Ken Hollander. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Theresa as well as his brothers Joseph and Thomas.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 4 to 8 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069. The funeral mass will be on Tuesday at 11 am at our Lady of the Mount Chapel, 167 Mt. Bethel Rd. Warren NJ 07059. Cremation services are private.
