Sincere condolences to Sue and Lily. A few thoughts and memories on my cousin Jimmy. A very moving video and photos. That was Jimmy. Always an easy smile, a glad hand, a quick wit and a kind and generous heart. As kids growing up in Park Slope we were best friends. Unlike young siblings, we never quarreled, we were friends. Some memories: Nathan’s at Coney Island, the beach, the rides and games, Prospect Park, a Dodgers game (pre 1958) he was a fan, street games on Lincoln Place (stickball, punchball, stoop-ball, and handball ). Even card games on the stoop. Hitching a ride on the back of a bus (on the outside of the bus). Puppies, parakeets and goldfish ( more stories) Holidays, particularly Easter,Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Vacations in the Poconos. Early days on Long Island (the country). Extremely close family ties. The extended family lived within blocks of one another. Candy stores, ice cream parlors, and pizza places. Our own miracle mile on Fifth Avenue, Brooklyn. We lived there. There was lots of great living crammed into small spaces, and one square mile of Brooklyn. It was different. Jimmy is always a big part of these memories. We did these things together with other family members. Jimmy made friends easily. People just liked Jimmy. He cared about people, and made a difference in their lives. He will be missed by friends and relatives. God Bless Jimmy. May he be in the presence of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and all those whom he loved, and who loved him, who went before him.

Dear Sue and Lilly; both Karen and I are so sad to hear about your loss and please accept our sincerest condolences. There are too many memories to mention but the one that stands out and always will is Jim and I playing "PADDLE" in Montevideo, Uruguay against our friends and the whole place yelling USA USA! I think you might remember also! I have known Jim for just about 40 years and whether he was a competitor or we were playing for the same team, he was always and will always be considered a friend. May God Bless you all!

Sue and Lily,
We will always remember Jim's kindness and dedication to the kids of North Plainfield. It was always a joy to coach with him or to just chat with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
