Obituary of Karen L. Dias

Karen Lee Dias, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. Born and raised in Slatington, PA, Karen has spent most of her life in Plainfield, NJ.

Prior to her retirement, Karen worked as an Administrative Services Manager for the Computer Sciences Corporation in Piscataway for over 40 years.  

Karen was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing racquetball. She also loved collecting polar bear memorabilia and anything with the color yellow, but most of all, she loved spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her son Michael Dias and his better half Kristine Fitzpatrick of Tucson, AZ.  Her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Dwight Richardson of Green Brook, NJ., and her four grandchildren, Dexter, James, Mya, and Gabriel.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069. Cremation services are private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her loving memory to the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC).
