Obituary of Marcus Arnold Wiggs, III

Marcus “Arnold” Wiggs III was born September 5, 1947, to his father, the late Marcus Wiggs, II, and his mother, Margaret I. Bailey. On February 3, 2023, Marcus transitioned.

Marcus attended Lincoln High School in Jersey City, NJ, and was employed at Emmerson Electric Company. He later moved to Plainfield, where he was employed by the Plainfield Recycling and Glass Company. Due to an on-the-job injury, it was concluded that he would retire.

Marcus loved watching NASCAR racing, attending car shows, and cooking for his family. His craft was building and working with wood. At a young age, he aspired to be a carpenter. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, the late Marcus Wiggs, II, and his sister, the late Denise Brown.

Marcus is survived by his mother, Margaret I. Bailey; his brother, Michael Wiggs; his sister, Marci Bishop (Craig); his nieces, Andrea Rennie (Dexter) & Tiffany Mitchell; his grandniece; Deisah Rennie; and his grandnephews, Anthony, Justin, Jayden & Max; and he is also further survived with a host of family and friends.

Marcus was blessed to live a long life with a loving family who will miss him immensely. Please join us in celebrating his life and commemorating his memory.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home, commencing at 11:00 a.m. Cremation services will be held privately.
