Obituary of Ann T. Francese

Ann Townley Francese, age 85, passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2023, at her home in Warren surrounded by her loving family. Born in Plainfield, Ann had resided in Reading PA, Plainfield and North Plainfield before moving to Warren in 1992.

Ann was a devoted and long time member of St. Joseph’s RC Church in North Plainfield. 

Ann was an avid bowler and part of a bowling league when she was younger. She also enjoyed taking weekend trips with her late husband Noel and family, she especially loved going to the local casinos. Most of all Ann cherished being a mother, not just to her own children and grandchildren but anyone who needed her. She was a caring and generous person who will be missed by all. 

She is predeceased by her husband Noel in 2007, her son Scott in 1981, two brothers Roger  and Mark and her parents Bernard and Ella Townley.

Ann is survived by her children Susan Francese, Jennifer Romanoski and her husband Matt and Andrew Francese and his wife Kelly; five grandchildren Christopher, Joe, and Alec Romanoski, Julia, and Erin Francese; a sister Donna Carder and a nephew Patrick, and her mother-in-law Olga Francese. She is also survived by a host of extended family and loving friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday February 20, 2023, from 3 to 5 pm with a family eulogy at 4pm at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ 07069. A funeral mass will be on Tuesday at St. Joseph’s RC Church at 10 am in North Plainfield. The burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. 

Memorial donations may be made in her loving memory to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
