Sonja Ash was a beautiful, intelligent, sensitive, and loving person. She gave herself to everyone she encountered, assisting those who needed help and offering them her knowledge, attention, love, and depth of experience whenever it was needed. Several years ago, I was very fortunate to have her enter my life. As her teacher and friend I got to know her as the uniquely positive person that she was. I join her family and the many people who were lucky enough to know her, in lamenting her loss. I will always remember her animated, spirit-filled identity, and the depth and passion she demonstrated towards life and living. It was truly a pleasure to know her and celebrate the all too brief friendship that we shared together. She truly contributed much, helping to make my life and living more meaningful and enjoyable. Along with my wife, Maryjean, and the many friends that Sonja had, I express my love and condolences to everyone in her family. We will certainly miss her and remember her for being the special humanist she was....Tony Nicoli
