Obituary of Ardouin Boucard
Ardouin Boucard, age 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Ardouin, the son of Apsole and Elionore Boucard, was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, May 10th, 1955. Ardouin was the eighth of twelve children and grew up in a busy home full of love.
Ardouin loved his home country of Haiti and, as an adult, spent many summers volunteering his time to help build schools, homes, and provide necessary resources for learning and everyday living. He felt blessed in his life and tried to be a blessing to those less fortunate.
Ardouin graduated from Newtown High School in Queens, NY, where he excelled in his studies. He received a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering from the College of Staten Island. In 1981 he earned a Master's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York. Ardouin accepted a position with Singer Kearfott, where he worked for eight years. Ardouin later joined AT&T, where he held various managerial positions. Ardouin remained with AT&T for over 35 years until his retirement in January 2023.
Ardouin met his wife Patricia in college, and they wed in 1982. While living in New Jersey, their union produced two remarkable young men, Christopher and Jonathan. On August 30, 2017, Ardouin and Patricia moved to Leland, NC.
In retirement, Ardouin, the sports enthusiast, was beginning to enjoy the social activities and organizations in the community. He began to play pickleball and water volleyball, and he enjoyed Tuesday Trivia Night. Ardouin was a member of the Foundation for Peace, recently joined 100 Black Men of Wilmington, NC, and shared his passion for investments with Savanet, an investment group started by his group of friends.
Ardouin was preceded in death by his father, Apsole, his mother, Elionore, and his brothers, Camille and Archer.
Ardouin will be lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia, sons Christopher and Jonathan, Siblings and spouses Arnoux Boucard, Alourde (Fred) Calixte, Michelle Boucard, Adeline Constant, Arnele (Jean) Antoine, Max (Louise) Boucard, Alain (Auldith) Boucard, Absol (Carolyn) Boucard, Harold (Jeneen) Boucard, Jennifer Boucard, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Ardouin lived a truly blessed life, and he left an impact on everyone he met. He will be forever missed, but we take comfort in knowing he is at peace.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, commencing at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.
