Obituary of David Edward Bauer

David Edward Bauer, a devoted husband, father, and esteemed electrical engineer, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023, at the age of 79. Surrounded by his loving family, David's journey ended at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy.

Born in Staten Island, NY, David later settled in Edison, NJ, where he created a warm and loving home with his beloved wife for over 50 years. He graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and embarked on a remarkable career journey at Magnetic Analysis Corporation. David's unwavering dedication and expertise marked a span of over five decades with the company until his retirement just four years ago.

David had a zest for life, enjoying theater, movies, and a diverse range of cuisines. However, his true joy came from spending time with his cherished family, especially his three beloved grandchildren. Though he experienced the heart-wrenching loss of his daughter Robin Cone in 2009, his resilient spirit persevered.

David is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marlene; his son Jason Bauer and wife, Sarah; three grandchildren, Jacob, Julia, and Jordyn; and his son-in-law, Daniel Cone.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ (Please meet the funeral at the office).
