Education played a significant role in Mary Ann's life. She completed her studies at Governor Livingston High School before continuing her academic journey at Newark State College, later renamed Kean College of New Jersey in 1973. Mary Ann's dedication and hard work led her to earn a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. Her passion for teaching brought her to Valley Road Elementary School in Clark, NJ, where she wholeheartedly nurtured young minds for several years.
Ultimately, Mary Ann made the heartfelt decision to prioritize her family and left her teaching profession after having her first child. She dedicated herself to the joyful task of raising her children, cherishing the role of a devoted mother. One notable aspect of Mary Ann's home was her extensive collection of antiques. Her home exuded the charm and character of an antique collector's haven, reflecting her appreciation for history and craftsmanship.
One of Mary Ann's sources of pride and joy was her beautiful garden and the peaceful backyard she helped create. With her green thumb and love for nature, she transformed her outdoor space into a serene sanctuary. The garden flourished under her care, filled with vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and the melodious songs of visiting birds. It was a place where she found solace, tranquility, and a deep connection with the natural world.
Mary Ann was a dog lover and shared many cherished moments with her beloved pets. She also found great pleasure in taking cruises alongside her loving companion, Lou. Shopping, especially for her grandchildren, brought her delight as she meticulously chose special items for them. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially, her grandchildren.
