My father was a Plainfield fireman for 32 years and retired as a deputy chief. I’ve known Bobby since my days as a North Plainfield Canuck. We remained friends for the next 40 years I respected Bobby simply because he was a good man. Being a fire fighter in Plainfield isn’t easy, and the fact that his colleagues respected him so much And looked out for him says about all that needs to be said Bobby you were loved and respected by your friends, family and colleague and that’s what it’s all about. Rest easy my friend. .

My favorite brother in law,
Your heart, your smile, your laugh are so deeply missed. I will never understand why you were taken from us so soon, but I am forever grateful for having known you. The room is empty without you. Rest in Peace Robert.

Deepest sympathies to the entire Pagano family. I knew Robert from his early days playing in the neighborhood where we lived about a block away. One day (while in grammar school - StonyBrook School)I I was sitting on bridge, located next to Roberts’s house and the Volvo dealer. Robert jokingly tried to scare me and pushed me, I landed in the brook, and he had to tell parents, as i was rushed to hospital for stitches, and con-cushion. We were just kids having fun playing in the hood. Maybe I owe all my smarts now to Robert? RiP Robert
