Obituary of Sharon Lee Savino

Sharon Lee Savino, aged 74, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at JFK Medical Center in Edison, enveloped by the profound love of her family. Sharon, a native of Elizabeth, spent her childhood in Kenilworth and established her home in Warren, where she lived for the last 35 years.

Sharon cherished the leisure time she spent at her two beloved holiday homes in the Outer Banks and the Jersey Shore. The serene ambiance of these places perfectly mirrored her own tranquil and easy-going personality.

In her early years, before embracing the joys of motherhood, Sharon showcased her managerial prowess in the underwriting department of the insurance company, Crum and Foster, located in Manhattan, NY. Later in life, when her children had grown, Sharon found her calling as an art teacher at Temple Har Sholom School. Art was the essence of her soul, and she treasured the opportunity to craft creative projects using ceramics and paint.

In her quieter moments, Sharon found solace in the pages of a good book, indulging her lifelong love of reading.

Sadly, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Edwardo Reyes, in 2022.

Her vibrant spirit lives on through her devoted husband of 48 and a half years, Agostino Savino; her two daughters, Brooke Savino and Danielle Savino-Gabrian, and son-in-law Vincent; her granddaughter, Harlow Reyes-Savino; a sister, Gayle Gyure, and a nephew, George Gyure.

A commemorative graveside service will be held in her honor at 11 am on Monday, July 31, 2023, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside, NJ.
