Obituary of Rachael Ann Mininni

Rachael Ann Mininni, aged 38, passed away on August 17, 2023, at Hunterdon Medical Center. Rachael was born at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, New Jersey. She grew up and resided in Warren until five years ago when she relocated to Washington, New Jersey, with her devoted husband and two children.

After graduating from Watchung Hills Regional High School, Rachael continued her education by attending classes at Raritan Valley Community College and numerous cosmetology classes. A gifted hair colorist and makeup artist, Rachael passionately excelled in her craft. Despite her love for her profession, she chose to become a homemaker, wholeheartedly embracing the role of a stay-at-home mom to her two beloved daughters.

In her younger years, Rachael's talent shone on the softball field, particularly known for her outstanding pitching ability. Off the field, she enjoyed writing poetry and handiwork with a deep passion of gifting her works to family and friends, spreading the immense love in her heart. Rachael was renowned for her exceptional culinary skills and love for cooking. Above all, her profound joy was found in being a dedicated mother, a loving wife, and cherishing moments with her family.

Rachael is survived by her adoring husband, Angelo Carlo Mininni; her two daughters, Gianna Rae Mininni and Madisyn Lavornia; her mother, Susan Leon and her husband Sam; her father, Todd MacDonald; her in-laws, David and Paula Mininni; her grandmother, Sandra Turner; and stepsister, Stephanie Leon.  She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 4 to 8 PM at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, New Jersey 07069. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by an interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
