Obituary of Rosemary Ignoscia Huff
In Loving Memory of Rosemary Ignoscia Huff (1934-2023)
With a blend of sorrow and fond memories, we share the passing of our beloved Rosemary Huff. At the age of 89, she peacefully left us on October 18, 2023, with her loving son Eric by her side.
Born in the Bronx, Rosemary's journey saw her live in Washington Heights before her family found a home in Plainfield, where she became a proud graduate of Plainfield High School. Following her marriage to the late James Huff, they created cherished memories with their three sons in North Plainfield. The story of her life continued in 2017, as Stirling became her home for seven heartwarming years.
Professionally, Rosemary was an executive secretary, with Lockheed Electronics in Watchung and later, employed by Ortho Pharmaceutical, a Johnson and Johnson company.
A beacon of spirituality, Rosemary was a cherished member of St. Joseph RC Church in North Plainfield. Her spiritual journey continued at St. Mary’s Stony Hill Church in Watchung.
Forever youthful in spirit, Rosemary embraced a fit lifestyle long before it became the norm. She wore her membership of the YMCA's 1000-mile running club with pride and was diligent about her daily exercises. Beach trips to the Jersey Shore brought her immense joy, but it was the moments with her family, especially her cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that she treasured most, particularly with her two angels, Luke and Sofia.
She is reunited in eternity with her beloved husband, James Huff; her parents, Dominick and Lena Ignoscia; her dear brother, Dominick; and her cherished companion, George Redgate.
Left to continue her legacy are her children: Mark Louis Huff and his wife Donna, Brian James Huff and his wife Janet, and Eric John Huff and his wife Kelly Ann. Her two grandchildren, Luke Thomas James Huff, and Sofia Rose Huff, will always hold their dear "Gammy's" lessons and love close to their hearts. Her absence will resonate deeply within all who knew her.
To celebrate her wonderful life, a visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 27, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. A funeral mass in her honor will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary’s Stony Hill RC Church, Watchung. A private burial will be held at a later time.
